Mobility

A conventional wheelchair will be 'driven' by a joystick arrangement most often mounted adjacent to the client's left or right hand. Physical disabilities may necessitate an alternative, such as a foot or chin-operated system. Alternatively, individual switches can be used to select the direction of travel; or a scanning interface might be required, where a single switch is pressed to select from a sequence of options presented on a display.
